Wedding (Groom's preparation)

It is the custom that groom and bride spend time separately

so we spent time with each families the day before wedding.

I have heard that it's bad luck if we see eachother until wedding.

The starting time of ceremony is 2pm....

Actually Leroy(my husband's nickname)went shopping

and he got DVD camera in the morning

We had no time to get that because we were so busy for

the rehearsal and the preparation...

but he couldn't give up and he bought that finally

After that...he went to.....

swimming pool

I guess he was too nervous to stay at home until afternoon

He told me he was thinking about his speech during he was swimming

By the way nobody in Japan can't believe that groom goes shopping and swimming

on wedding day even if the ceremony starts from afternoon

But I'm sure he could relax after swimming and it was a lot better than

staying at home during he was SUPER nervous..

After 12:30pm my brother joined boys and they started preparation from then.

I was worried about my brother but he was very friendly to

Leroy and his brother.

I like his sociable personality

And then boys arrived the wedding venue earlier than us.

Leroy's brother got the wedding ring box!!

Looks like they were very relaxing during girls were

the preparation at the hotel.

Flower girl looked very very nervous before her big job

Our wedding venue was the garden of National Trust

so the volunteer staff set up the seats!!

Boys have also finished all preparation

Wedding Day (Bride's preparation)

We got married on 30th December in 2010!!

I think Western wedding is very different from Japanese wedding

so I want to write the article about our wedding day......

My mother and all my married friends gave me advice to sleep

very well the day before wedding...but I couldn't sleep well to be honest....
We were very worried about the weather but....we were sooo lucky!!
It was perfect weather!!!

In Japan, we can do all preparation like hair set, make up and dressing

at a ceremony venue, but we have to prepare everything by ourselves

here.(We usually prepare at bride's parent's home)

we used the hotel which my parents stayed for our preparation.

After we finished the preparation....



Photographer and Videographer arrived at the hotel

I had exchanged e-mails and talked to them on the phone

many times, but it was my first time to see them

They tried to have normal conversation and they made us relax.
They are worthy to be professional

Because my mother had to go to the ceremony venue earlier,

the videographer filmed my parent's comments first.

I was easily moved to tears after I listened

to their comments ・・

I tried not to cry because I didn't want my tears remove my make up,
but at that time I realized that I was going to marry finally

After my mother and aunty left the hotel,




I took photos and video with the bridesmaids at the balcony.


My bridesmaid put the veil on my head

and my father, bridesmaids and I took

the wedding car to the ceremony venue.

By the way, what were the boys doing during we were doing all preparation
